چکیده

Purpose The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect residual astigmatism on postoperative visual outcomes after trifocal intraocular lens implantation. Methods In prospective observational study, we divided 156 eyes into two groups according measured by subjective optometry and followed them up for 3 months. Visual acuity, modulation transfer function (MTF) curves, Strehl ratio (SR), Function Index-14 scores, photic phenomena were compared. Results Linear regression analysis revealed a weak correlation between uncorrected distance acuity (UDVA) (r = 0.190, P 0.016) at months significant between-group difference 1- 3-month UDVA ( 0.038, 0.018, respectively). MTF curve values SR (MTF-10 total, MTF-10 cornea, MTF-30 Total, cornea) significantly worse < 0.001), scores lower in 0.5 ≤ 1.25 D group 0.05) than group. No differences found frequency, severity, bothersomeness > 0.05). Conclusion Postoperative affects lens-implanted eyes. Although no intermediate near both objective quality affected, suggesting need surgical planning when anticipated is >0.5 D.

Visual outcomes after bilateral trifocal diffractive intraocular lens implantation

BACKGROUND In recent years new models of intraocular lenses are appearing on the market to reduce requirements for additional optical correction. The purpose of this study is to assess visual outcomes following bilateral cataract surgery and the implant of a FineVision® trifocal intraocular lens (IOL). METHODS Prospective, nonrandomized, observational study. Vision was assessed in 44 eyes of ...
